Hello reader, some time ago I had wondered if and how it might be possible to
test a pc power supply unit on a workbench, without connecting it to a PC. S
so I asked a learned brother who was trained in Silicon Valley. He sent me  the
accompanied picture and explanation. One has to connect a lamp bulb to the
apprpriate voltage point on the power unit, say 12Volts and then, using a piece
of wire, bridge between pin 16 (PC-ON) and any ground pin (eg. 15 or 17), see
picture.
